Hey everyone 👋
It's been a while. We know.
We've been heads-down designing and building something we're genuinely proud of — and we're finally ready to start sharing it with you. Over the next few weeks, we'll be giving you a look inside MyClockTab 2.0, piece by piece. But first, let's talk about where we've been and why.
What you told us
We asked, and you answered. When we wanted to know why you choose MyClockTab over other clock apps, here's what you said:
| Reason | % |
|---|---|
| It's free and has no ads | 30% |
| The ultra-clean, distraction-free interface | 21% |
| High customizability (colors, fonts, sizes) | 18% |
| It's incredibly fast and lightweight | 15% |
| The "Time in Tab" feature | 12% |
Reading these again, one thing became clear: what matters most is how it feels.
Not another dashboard. Not another productivity suite. A clock that feels good to open — clean, calm, and yours. That's the foundation everything else builds on.
That's exactly what 2.0 is built around.
A space first
The core idea behind 2.0 is simple: every theme, every background should feel like a unique personal space.
We want to cover a wide range of moods and styles. Nature, cities, quiet rooms, distant skies — there's a space for every kind of day. But we're also being deliberate about keeping it curated. An endless list of options is just another form of noise. So we're building for range and restraint at the same time: premium quality, wide coverage, and calm.
Themes come first. But we've also heard the small things you've asked for — and we'll be adding a few thoughtful helpers over time, always in service of the space, never in the way of it.
A first look: Parallax
Let's show you one.
Parallax is a theme built on layers. Every background has depth — a foreground, the clock, and a background behind it. The time doesn't just sit on top of the image; it lands in the scene, blending into the space.
Move your mouse, and the layers tilt gently with you. Just a touch of interaction — enough to make the space feel alive.
The backgrounds cover a range of moods:
- Nature — open landscapes, quiet trails, and the occasional small animal
- City — night aerial views, city lights, moving through a city from above
- Motion — cars, trains, planes, and the feeling of going somewhere

We'll be sharing more themes soon. Each one is a little world, and we can't wait to show you what's inside.
Note: The themes shown here are still in development. Final visuals may differ slightly at launch.
What's next
Over the coming weeks, we'll be posting more about 2.0 — the themes, the design process, and what's coming.
We're not ready to give you a launch date yet, but it's close. And when it's ready, we'll tell you first.
Thanks for being here this early. It means more than you know.
